"Faith without works, is dead" πŸŒŠπŸŒŠπŸŒŠπŸ’πŸ’

E aΓ! Como vocΓͺs estΓ£o? I hope that everyone is doing well and that you had a great week!

In this email I just want to share the story of Alef! He was Baptized this Saturday and he is truly amazing! He is 18 years old and has an amazing testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ!

About a month ago, Alef didn't believe in God. But when his dad kicked him out of his house and he moved in with some members, his heart changed. Three weeks ago he went to church for the first time! When talked with him and he told us he wanted to be baptized! So we set up a date for him to work towards and started to teach him! In our first lesson, we taught The Restoration, the spirit was very strong and he accepted the invitation to read The Book of Mormon and pray about it. Later that night he prayed and he told us that he felt something indescribable and something he'd never felt before. He knew at that moment that he was loved and not alone.

Fast forward a week, and we're talking about the commandments and we talk about the Word of Wisdom. The only problem he has is smoking, but he had a desire to quit and so he did! We set a goal with him and he hit that goal! But, the day before his baptism, he had a strong feeling to smoke. Well, he remembered what we had said, "ask God to help you, and he WILL help you" and so he said a prayer and as soon as he finished that prayer, his desire to smoke was gone. The next day he was baptized.

This work is true, I know it. This church, is The Church of Jesus Christ. God is real and He loves each and everyone of us. He will help YOU in anything that you ask him. As it says in the title of this email, "Faith without works, is Dead" Alef used Faith to defeat Satan and his desire to smoke. Peter used Faith to walk on water. I have used my Faith to be here on the Mission and find people the Lord has prepared. Everyday I pray for more Faith and everyday I try to exercise my Faith. Everyday is hard, but with God and Jesus Christ on our side, nothing is impossible. We just need to have Faith, even if it's very small.

I love guys! Hope you had a great week and that everything is going great! Keep praying and asking the Lord for Help. He is always there for you!

Com Amor,
Elder Giles
