Feliz Natal!! The Joyous work of the Lord!

Olá! Como você está? Feliz Natal!!! Merry Christmas! This week has been quite an adventure! The Lord truly works in small and simple things! So many small things happened this week to help Elder Stettler and I improve each other and improve the work here in Jonesville! I truly do love the Lord's work even though it's difficult.  On Tuesday we had Zone Conference! It was a ton of fun hanging out with the Elders that I'd met before (shout out to Elder Olson, I missed you this Zone Conference 😭😭) We had some amazing meetings that were so spiritual, President and Sister Peckham are really so amazing and I love them so much! We also played some games and had a blast! This week has taught me some very valuable lessons. What I want to focus on today, is that Jesus Christ should be our focus in our life, not just in this Christmas Season but every. single. day. Having Christ as our foundation and always having our eyes fixed on him will allow us to push through everything the w...

Olá! Como você está? Feliz Natal! This week in Feira de Jonesville/Hillsdale was again full of ups and downs, awesome spiritual moments and lessons being canceled. But the work of the Lord does not and can not stop, we must always push forward with a steadfastness in Christ!  The title comes from yesterday, during Sacrament meeting Elder Stettler and I were stressing a lot because our friend, Drake, needed to come to church so that he could be baptized this Saturday, I was praying that he would be able to make it. Then, he texted us saying that he wasn't feeling good and that he also wanted to push his Baptism date back. Well, I was just sitting there in sacrament meeting, just wondering why things weren't working out, when the youth speaker got up and said " Good morning! My talk today is about Faith!" The spirit hit me like a truck, and the words came in my head " Oh ye of little faith, everything is going to work out in the end." Those words hit me hard...

Oi! How's everyone doing? This week went by pretty fast! The temp was all over the place this week, it was in the 50's and then in the 20's, which was quite interesting.😂 Also, the wind has started to pick up, and it is starting to rival the Santa Ana winds from back home, except it's very cold and not hot😂  This week we had awesome lessons! I definitely can see the hand of the Lord in all that I do, it is very hard at times, but He is always in the details of our lives. This week I didn't have huge miracles but rather small tender mercies that guided me to where the Lord needed my comp and I to be and what to say. Well, today is a quick email, but I love you guys! Hope everyone is doing well! I love to hear from you guys, so feel free to email me anytime! Com Amor Elder Giles

Oi!  This week was pretty crazy! It had so many ups and downs but at the end I was able to see the Lord's hand in everything that happened!  To start off, this week had a couple of days where every lesson we had fell through which was quite demoralizing, but Elder Stettler and I were able to trust in the Lord and he knew exactly where we needed to be. We were doorknocking on Wednesday, everything that we had set up that day had fallen through, and it was freezing cold and no one wanted to hear our message,(I'm now 2/3 for picking streets to doorknock because before that we had found someone every time it was my turn to pick, the Holy Ghost is so cool and is absolutely amazing, the only reason why we're able to find people is because of God and the promptings of the Holy Ghost) But on the last house we came up to knock, and there were two Huskies that were there sitting and barking at the window, (I love dogs and so does Elder Stettler) and they were so cute and the...
