Oi! Como você está? This first week has been crazy! I truly really do love it here in Michigan! Fall is so pretty here, but unfortunately the temperature is dropping and today we had our first snowfall! Crazy! It was super light, but Winter is Coming! It's also supposed to snow on Halloween, so that will be interesting, my first time having snow on Halloween.😂  The people here are really awesome as well, we haven't had a lesson shorter than 30 minutes😂 they always go long but no one really minds it because they love talking to people!  In exciting news, this last week, my comp and I invited a friend to be Baptized and she said Yes! It was such an awesome experience to be there and she has really grown her faith and testimony of Jesus Christ so much! I know that this is the restored Gospel of Jesus CHrist and that God has a plan for us!  Also, the blessings that I have received here are such a powerful testimony builder to me. I'm so ...

Olá! Como vi? This week has been crazy! My MTC experience is over! I finished it on Wednesday and left Thursday for Michigan. The MTC was really awesome, but I'm so excited to start missionary work!  On Thursday I woke up at 3:30am to head off to the airport, my flight took off at 9:45am but we had to be at the airport 2 hours before our flight. On the flight it was just me and Elder Olson, we got to say goodbye to most of our district in the airport but they were all going to Brazil. It was super sad, but I'll see them again in Brazil!  The flight landed in Detroit, Michigan at like 3:30pm, then Elder Olson and I hopped on a quick 30 minute flight over to the Lansing. We then met the Mission President and the rest of the leaders in my mission. They are awesome people! We then had dinner at an Asian buffet place and it was pretty good! Finally, we got to sleep in a hotel! The beds were so comfy! The next day we woke up and went to the Mission office and had trainin...

October 16, 2023 Oi! Tudo Bem! This week has been kinda crazy! On Tuesday we had a devotional with Elder Gerrit W. Gong and it was so good! He really helped me find new ways to study and feel the spirit. Also, I almost shook his hand after the devotional, but right before he got to me, he got distracted by something. Sad, but not that important. On Thursday, My district and I started "Speak Your Language!" Speak Your Language is a program at the MTC that has you speak the language you're learning for the last week. That means 24 hours a day, I'm speaking portuguese. It has been pretty difficult, speaking in a language that I don't really know any words in is crazy, but I've learned a ton! Shout out to My German teacher for helping to instill in me good study habits because it really has helped me learn Portuguese.  The last bit of the week has been normal, just finishing up classes and hanging out with my district. Today, my district and I went to the Temple f...

Olá! Como vocé está?  This week has been pretty normal, just a lot of class, playing volleyball and soccer and having awesome experiences with the Holy Ghost! I truly have loved being here at the MTC but it's been four weeks and I'm itching to get out. Speaking of getting out, this is my last full week and next week it looks like I'll leave on Wednesday.  Also, going with the title, since I haven't received my visa yet, I have been temporarily re-assigned to the Lansing, Michigan, mission! I still have until Friday to get my visa, but If I don't, I'm going to Michigan! The funniest thing is that the climate of Feira de Santana and Michigan are completely different😂 my wardrobe consists of 8 short sleeved and 1 long sleeved white shirts😂 and I have no jackets at all😂 it's all good though because I'll get my winter clothes from home. My Portuguese is coming along, I can form sentences and correctly conjugate some of the time, but progress is progress! O...
